Consultant (CPA License Required)

We are looking for a Consultant who brings a self-directed approach to their work and are comfortable owning processes. While support is always available, this role is designed for those who must manage their tasks independently. This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and Engagement Partner.
Responsibilities:
Execute a detailed onboarding and compliance checklist: collect financial access, software logins, operating agreements, and other required documents per the service contract agreement
Assist with drafting internal client profiles detailing stakeholders, decision-makers, and existing accounting processes
Serve as a liaison between clients and our internal team throughout onboarding for seamless and efficient onboarding
Maintain open, professional, and timely communication
Navigate conversations with multiple stakeholders using strong soft skills and diplomacy
Track and document client issues and resolutions accurately
Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled and onboarding is completed on schedule
Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Active CPA license in good standing (any U.S. state, but preferably Georgia)
Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting or public accounting
Must be comfortable communicating with all levels of an organization, from executives and VPs to operational staff and external providers
Demonstrated experience onboarding new clients and transitioning them from third-party providers in a virtual environment
Direct experience working with private small and medium sized businesses
Experienced in full-cycle accounting with core processes such as AP, AR, GL, and month-end close
Ability to work independently with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Strong client service orientation, soft skills, and project management abilities
Background check required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience at top accounting or consulting firms
Entrepreneurial and process-improvement mindset
Familiarity with tracking systems and automation tools
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, nested IFs, pivot tables)
Proficiency with multiple accounting platforms and ERPs
Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus but not required
